Behaviour Support TA

  • Supporting a range of pupils within their studies across all curriculum areas
  • Full time position - 12 month posts available
  • Delivering additional tuition in identified support areas

Would you like to work within a Salford secondary school as a behaviour support assistant?

Do you hold previous experience supporting pupils with behavioural issues within mainstream secondary school? Do you hold transferable skills in relation to behaviour support and would like to have a positive impact on the learning of pupils?

If so, this is an excellent opportunity for you.

This large 11-18 secondary school located within the Salford LEA seek to appoint 2 teaching assistants on a full time basis to work within their behaviour support team. As a behaviour support assistant you will hold a range of responsibilities including;

*Supporting a range of pupils within their studies across all curriculum areas

*Working closely with class teachers and offering general support

*Delivering additional tuition in identified support areas

You will report directly to the SENCO who leads the provisions for behaviour support, previous experience would be an advantage but if you have worked with children and know the policies of working within the classroom this would be considered by the school.

Located on the outskirts of Salford, The M60 and M6 dissect the college and are both within 3 miles. The A57, joining Manchester and Warrington are the main road through the district. The school holds excellent facilities and is a state of the art college which opened in September 2011.

The role is initially a temporary position; however the ideal candidates will have the opportunity to gain full time positions for the full academic year.
