We are looking for an English Teacher to work within a Secondary SEN School.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • SEN English Teacher
  • Starting January 2020 or as soon as possible
  • Teaching KS3 and KS4 English as a subject specialist
  • Nurtures positive relationships and encourages the growth of responsible behaviour. 
  • Development and improvement of English resources within the department
  • Willingness to participate in the school’s extra-curricular programme
  • Could earn from GBP115-GBP160 per day

The School:

This “Good” school is looking for an SEN English Teacher to help support the school which caters for pupils who are referred to the school by their mainstream school as they are not achieving their full potential in their current environment. They provide a period of intervention for the students to help them with their reintegration back into school and they are looking for an SEN English Teacher to help continue this success. 

The purpose of the early intervention at this school is to remove the child from a mainstream setting, enabling the pupil to have one to one and small group learning with an individualised timetable, specific to their needs. They will get the support, guidance and success they need to give them the confidence they require to return to mainstream school.

The Essentials:

  • Must be available for full time work from January 2020
  • Strong English Teaching evidence
  • To have a QTS or other relevent teaching qualification - Unqualfied Teachers will be accepted 
  • Must have suitable school-based references
  • Must have or be willing and able to apply for a fully enhanced DBS certificate
