Teaching Personnel
Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Classroom Support Staff Member to support pupils at a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Bury.

The Role
As an SEN Classroom Support Staff Member, you will work closely with pupils who require additional support, helping them access learning, develop independence, and achieve positive outcomes.
You will support children with a range of needs, which may include:
- Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
- ADHD
- Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN)
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Moderate and specific learning difficulties
The successful candidate will play a key role in fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment where every child feels valued, supported, and encouraged to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with SEND.
- Support pupils in accessing classroom activities and learning opportunities.
- Build strong, positive relationships that promote confidence, engagement, and independence.
- Implement personalised support strategies and interventions.
- Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to meet individual learning needs.
- Encourage positive behaviour and support emotional wellbeing.
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
- Contribute to creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive school environment.

- Has experience working with children or young people with additional needs.
- Support with personal care, where necessary.
- Demonstrates patience, empathy, and resilience.
- Is passionate about making a difference to children's educational journeys.
- Can adapt their approach to meet the diverse needs of learners.
- Works effectively as part of a team.
- Has strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Holds relevant education, childcare, health and social care, or SEND-related qualifications (desirable but not essential).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
