Teaching Personnel is recruiting an Inclusion Mentor to join a specialist Secondary SEMH school in Oldham this September. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting vulnerable young people and helping them overcome barriers to learning.
Working alongside experienced teaching and pastoral staff, you'll become a consistent, positive role model for pupils who benefit from additional emotional, behavioural and academic support.
What your day could look like:
- Providing 1:1 mentoring to pupils who require additional guidance and encouragement.
- Supporting small groups with learning, emotional regulation and social development.
- Helping pupils manage challenging situations using positive behaviour strategies.
- Encouraging confidence, resilience and independence both inside and outside the classroom.
- Working collaboratively with teachers, pastoral staff and external professionals to support each pupil's individual needs.
We would love to hear from you if you have experience in:
- SEN or SEMH schools
- Youth work or mentoring
- Residential or children's care
- Behaviour support
- Coaching or sports leadership
- Mental health support
- Alternative provisions or PRUs
Transferable experience from care, youth services or community support is welcomed.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
