SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant (Autism Support – Year 4) | Lancaster

Location: Lancaster (Primary School)
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: £13.75- £14.50 per hour (depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only

Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs? Do you want to make a meaningful difference in the life of a young learner with Autism?

We’re working with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Lancaster to recruit a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 4 pupil with Autism on a 1:1 basis.

The Role:

  • Provide individualised support to a pupil with an EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan)
  • Help the child access and engage with the mainstream curriculum
  • Work closely with the SENCO, class teacher, and external professionals
  • Support the child’s social and emotional development, both in and out of the classroom

About You:

  • A caring, patient, and resilient individual with a passion for helping children thrive
  • Experience working with children or individuals with SEN/Autism is highly desirable
  • Able to build trusting relationships and adapt to the child’s individual needs
  • A team player who’s ready to make a lasting impact
