SEMH Teaching Assistant - Lancing

We are currently looking for a One to One Teaching Assistant/Learning Mentor to work with an Alternative Provision based in Lancing with the role starting as soon immediately.

The School

The school currently provides education to those pupils who have been permanently excluded from school and those who cannot attend their own schools for medical reasons. They also support referrals for pupils at significant risk of permanent exclusion from school.

Recently the school was voted as “Good” by OFSTED, but are looking to return to their “Outstanding” status so looking for staff members that can make a real impact with their student.

The Candidate

Due to the needs of the students, the school are looking for someone who has experience working with young people, especially those of supporting young people with Challenging Behaviour and Complex Needs. Team Teach training is not essential, but preferable.

The Role

The successful candidate will be required to work between 08:30 - 15:30 from Monday - Friday. You will be working with the school on a temporary contract, with the potential opportunity for this to turn permanent. You will be required to support a student in Key Stage 4 with Behavioural Difficulties.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
