SEMH Teaching Assistant

A vibrant and supportive mainstream secondary school are looking to recruit an SEMH Teaching Assistant on a full-time temporary basis from January 2021.

The SENCO and pastoral team are looking for a passionate, patient and dynamic individual for the role of SEMH Teaching Assistant who can support a group of identified pupils aged 11-16. The pupils will require extra support with their emotional well-being, lesson engagement, and understanding the current scheme of work which the school will advise you on.

Highlights of the role:

• Full-time SEMH Teaching Assistant
• Temporary role starting in January 2021 - likely to be required until July 2021
• Earning GBP1300 a month, paid weekly
• Delivering tailored learning activities to a group of identified pupils with SEMH and struggling to re-engage with learning
• Working at a supportive and inclusive mainstream secondary school in Croxteth, Liverpool
• Previous experience with SEMH and young people is very desirable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
