SEMH Teaching Assistant

Job description

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant with experience working with young people with on a one to one basis?

We are currently working with a school based in Horsham that cater for students (aged between 7-16) with complex social and or emotional needs, most children will have an Education, Health and Care Plan that identifies additional learning disabilities and/or difficulties.

The school are looking for a Teaching Assistant who has experience of working with young people with Social, Emotional or Mental Health Difficulties, experience within an Alternative Provision is not essential. Due to the needs of the students you will need to be resilient and robust enough to deal with challenging behaviour.

You will be required to work Monday - Friday between the hours of 08:30 - 15:30 with flexibility to change classes or work with different students when required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
