SEMH Teaching Assistant
Job description
We are looking for a confident, patient and enthusiastic SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a warm and forward-thinking specialist college in Ringwood.
This full-time role offers the opportunity to support learners aged 8 to 18 in a truly unique environment. Working hours are 9am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday, with an immediate start available.

Your Role and Responsibilities
You will be working alongside teachers and specialist staff to provide meaningful support to students. Your role may include:
• Motivating and encouraging students during classroom activities and learning sessions
• Building strong, trusting relationships to help students feel safe and supported
• Assisting with practical, creative or outdoor learning tasks
• Contributing to a positive, structured and engaging learning environment
• Helping students celebrate achievements and progress, big and small
No two days are the same, and the impact you make will be visible and appreciated.
What We Need From You
• A minimum of six months of childcare or educational experience, preferably supporting children or young people with additional needs
• The ability to drive, as the location is rural and not easily reached by public transport
• A calm, patient and proactive attitude, with the confidence to adapt to different situations
• A genuine passion for helping young people reach their potential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
