SEMH Teaching Assistant
A Secondary SEMH Provision in the Darwen and surrounding areas are looking to recruit Support Assistants to work across their provision supporting during lunch and break times.
As many of the young people may not have experienced a very positive time at their mainstream school and as such, they work hard to reinstate their self-confidence and self-belief as they strive to re-engage them with their learning.
Important information
- Part-time position; Monday – Friday 10am – 2pm.
- £12.90 p/h
- Temporary contract
- September start
The role will be to support the pupils in and out on the classroom. You will be required to de-escalate challenging behaviour in a calm manner and to support help remove any existing ‘barriers’ to learning whilst encouraging participation and achievement.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
