SEMH Teaching Assistant – Full-Time | Bournemouth | Immediate Start

An exciting opportunity has become available for a passionate and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive educational setting in Bournemouth.

This is a full-time role, working with students aged 3 to 18 who require additional emotional, social, and behavioural support across both primary and secondary phases.

 

About the Role
Working hours are 8.45am to 3.0pm, Monday to Friday, with an immediate start available.

As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in helping students overcome barriers to learning, manage emotions, and develop positive relationships.

You will work alongside skilled teachers and dedicated support staff to create a calm, structured, and encouraging environment where every child can succeed.

Requirements
We are looking for individuals who are patient, empathetic, and confident in supporting students with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
To be considered, you must have:
• A minimum of 6 months’ childcare experience
• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN or SEMH needs
• A proactive and caring approach to helping learners achieve their goals

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
