SEMH Teaching Assistant – Full-Time Role – Bournemouth

Support Students to Thrive Emotionally and Academically

A specialist secondary school in Bournemouth is looking for a full-time SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who wants to support students aged 11 to 16 with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs and contribute meaningfully to their progress and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one and group support to students with SEMH and other special educational needs

  • Assist in classroom management and help implement individual learning plans

  • Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment

  • Support students with emotional regulation, self-esteem and social interaction

  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to meet individual pupil needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
