Our Specialist SEN branch here at Teaching Personnel are currently working closely with a well established SEN school in the Truro area who specialise in providing an adapted curriculum for children who have a diagnosis of Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties and Autism. The School are in need of temporary, full time and part time teaching assistants to work with pupils with a variety of needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity for Sports coaches, residential support workers and experienced individuals who are passionate about working with SEN children.

Your duties will include:

• Undertaking tasks set by the class teacher.
• Supporting children within the class.
• Building up rapport between yourself and the pupils becoming a role model.
• Managing the classroom under the direction of the class teacher.
• Recording and documenting information to improve the pupils experience.
• providing a safe ans secure environment.

To apply for this position, you will need:

• A strong passion to enhance the development of pupils.
• An approachable and positive attitude.
• Hold relevant qualifications.
• Ideally Team Teach Trained. (Not essential)
• Be confident in working with small groups and 1:1.
• Hold a current DBS on the update service or willing to take one.
• to be active to be able to provide sensory requirements.
