SEMH Class Teacher

Job Duties:
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons for students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to support their development
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate with colleagues and multi-disciplinary teams to support student well-being
- Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding student progress
Required Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK
- Experience working with students with SEMH needs
- Knowledge of SEMH strategies and interventions
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience
- Experience in implementing behaviour management techniques
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of SEMH needs and how they impact learning
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
- Organisational and time-management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs (SEN)
- Training in de-escalation techniques
Working Conditions:
- Work in a school setting with students with SEMH needs
- Full-time contract with standard school hours
- Potential for some additional hours for planning and parent meetings

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
