SEN Teaching Assistant

Full Time

May 2024

Teaching Personnel are seeking a special needs assistant in Woolwich, to start in May 2024 to work Full – Time.

This position is working 121 with a child who has severe ASC, who is nonverbal in Year 3 – accessing early stages of reception curriculum.

What the school is looking for in you:

  • 2-year experience of working with ASC non-verbal children.
  • To be able to communicate by sign language - MAKATON, PECs and Core boards
  • Understanding of the SEND system in the UK
  • Good spoken and written English - communication with parents, professional, colleagues. Writing daily reports to parents, updating IEPs and annual review documents

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
