They’re looking for a confident, compassionate Behaviour Support Assistant who can bring consistency, energy and emotional intelligence to the classroom—every single day.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Providing 1:1 and small-group behaviour support across the school day
• Helping pupils to manage emotions, regulate behaviour and stay engaged in learning
• Using de-escalation, restorative and trauma-informed strategies to support challenging moments
• Supporting teachers with behaviour management plans and risk assessments
• Maintaining clear boundaries and routines that create safety and structure
• Tracking behaviour, incidents and progress, sharing insights with the wider team
• Supporting pupils during transitions, breaktimes and unstructured periods
• Acting as a positive role model, building respect, trust and confidence

What We’re Looking For

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH, behaviour needs, SEN, youth work or care backgrounds
• A calm, resilient and confident approach to challenging behaviour
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships quickly
• Understanding of safeguarding, boundaries and professional conduct
• Willingness to follow behaviour support and intervention plans consistently
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• Team Teach/PRICE or similar training is desirable—but not essential
