- A chance to build your confidence, communication skills and emotional intelligence within a supportive and highly rewarding environment.
- The opportunity to truly impact young lives every single day—seeing real progress because of the support you provide.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEMH needs, helping them overcome barriers to learning.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging, accessible lessons, adapting activities and resources where needed.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with students to support emotional regulation, behaviour management and personal development.
- Work collaboratively with pastoral and SEN teams, contributing to individual learning plans and behaviour strategies.
- Promote a safe, inclusive learning environment that helps students grow in confidence, resilience and independence.
✔️ Requirements
- A degree in any subject—Psychology, Education, Criminology, Sociology, Sport, English and Science graduates are particularly encouraged.
- A genuine interest in supporting young people with SEMH needs.
- Strong communication, patience, empathy and resilience.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
- An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
