Are you an aspiring Secondary Teacher or a newly qualified ECT/NQT looking to gain valuable classroom experience in Welsh secondary schools?

We are working in partnership with secondary schools across Tredegar and the wider Blaenau Gwent area and are seeking enthusiastic early‑career teachers to support KS3 and KS4 pupils through supply, short‑term, and long‑term opportunities.

This is an excellent route into the profession or a way to build confidence and experience within the Curriculum for Wales.

Who We Are Looking For

✅ Aspiring teachers seeking school‑based experience in Wales
✅ Newly Qualified Teachers (ECTs/NQTs)
✅ Trainee teachers looking for paid classroom experience
✅ Secondary subject specialists (all subjects welcome)

The Role

• Deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Support learners in line with the Curriculum for Wales
• Manage classroom behaviour and promote positive learning environments
• Work alongside experienced teachers and school leaders
• Develop classroom confidence and teaching practice
• Uphold safeguarding and wellbeing standards at all times

Essential Requirements

• A passion for Secondary education in Wales
• A relevant degree and/or teacher training pathway
• Registered with, or willing to register with, the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Commitment to professional development and learner wellbeing
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
