Job description

Secondary Teachers & Cover Supervisors Needed in Crawley!

Teaching Personnel are working with secondary schools across Crawley who are looking for talented teachers and experienced cover supervisors throughout the 2026/27 academic year.

With a mixture of long-term, permanent and ongoing supply opportunities, we're keen to hear from qualified teachers, ECTs, cover supervisors and experienced education professionals who are looking for their next role.

Crawley is a diverse and busy area with schools supporting students from a wide range of backgrounds. The schools we work with are looking for people who are reliable, adaptable and confident working with young people, while bringing a positive attitude and high expectations into the classroom.

Whether you're an experienced teacher looking for a new school, an ECT building your experience, or a cover supervisor looking for your next opportunity, we'd like to hear from you.

What we're looking for

For teaching positions, we're looking for candidates with QTS or an equivalent recognised qualification, including ECTs and overseas-trained teachers with the relevant UK recognition.

For cover supervisor roles, formal teaching qualifications aren't essential. We're interested in people with strong classroom presence and previous experience working with secondary-aged students — whether that's in education, youth work, sports, tutoring or another relevant setting.

Across both roles, schools are looking for professionals who:

  • Build positive relationships with students while maintaining clear boundaries.

  • Are confident managing behaviour and maintaining a purposeful learning environment.

  • Can adapt quickly to different classes, students and school environments.

  • Are reliable, professional and committed to safeguarding.

  • Bring enthusiasm, resilience and a genuine interest in helping young people succeed.

What you'll get from Teaching Personnel

  • Long-term and permanent opportunities across secondary schools in Crawley.

  • Flexible supply and cover work where available.

  • Competitive rates of pay, depending on role, experience and qualifications.

  • A dedicated consultant who takes the time to understand what you're looking for.

  • Access to CPD and professional development opportunities.

  • Support with compliance, DBS and getting started in your new role.

  • Ongoing support throughout your placement.

If you're a qualified teacher, ECT, cover supervisor or experienced education professional looking for your next opportunity in Crawley, get in touch with Teaching Personnel today.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see the FAQ’s on the Teaching Personnel website for details.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
