Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a thriving secondary school in Andover to appoint a Teacher of Mathematics for a full-time, permanent role starting in September 2025. This position includes a TLR for the right candidate and offers the opportunity to join a high-performing, supportive Maths department that is continuing to go from strength to strength.
About the Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Maths teacher eager to grow their leadership capabilities, or for a confident classroom practitioner ready to embrace responsibility. You will be part of a forward-thinking team that teaches a well-structured, high-quality curriculum using OCR Foundation and Edexcel Higher, while also benefiting from co-planning time and a collaborative, ideas-sharing culture.
The department boasts a positive Progress 8 score, with consistent year-on-year improvement, and over 69% of students achieving Grade 4+ in GCSE Maths. Beyond the classroom, pupils enjoy a wide range of Maths-based enrichment and trips, helping bring learning to life.
What We’re Looking For:
We are seeking a teacher who:
- Has excellent subject knowledge in Maths and a clear passion for teaching
- Sets high expectations for student progress and engagement
- Enjoys working collaboratively and contributing to a team culture
- Is open to innovation and continually seeks ways to improve outcomes
- Is either an experienced teacher or an ECT with strong potential
- Would be keen to mentor trainee teachers or contribute to curriculum development (if desired)
