Director of Maths – September 2025 Start – Full-Time – Secondary Leadership Opportunity in Hampshire
Lead, inspire, and drive excellence in Mathematics

Are you a passionate Mathematics educator with a proven track record of leadership? Do you thrive on challenge, innovation, and the opportunity to shape the future of a high-performing department?

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a successful and inclusive secondary school in Hampshire, currently seeking to appoint a Director of Maths for a September 2025 start. This is a full-time, permanent leadership position, ideal for an experienced leader ready to drive continued success across Key Stages 3 and 4.


About the Role:

As Director of Maths, you will take strategic responsibility for the development and delivery of an ambitious, engaging, and high-impact Maths curriculum. You will lead a committed team of subject specialists and work closely with the senior leadership team to ensure that all pupils make outstanding progress in Mathematics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Maths department, championing high standards in teaching, learning, and assessment
  • Inspire and develop a team of teachers through supportive line management and clear vision
  • Design and refine curriculum delivery that meets the needs of all learners
  • Monitor and drive student progress across all key stages, using data effectively to inform teaching
  • Contribute to whole-school leadership and strategic planning initiatives

  • A skilled practitioner and leader with a strong background in secondary Maths education
  • Evidence of raising attainment and improving outcomes for students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to lead by example and foster team spirit
  • A proactive, ambitious, and solutions-focused mindset
  • Experience in curriculum development and departmental improvement

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
