Science Tutor
Job description
At TP Tutors we are seeking Science Tutors to work with Local Authorities and schools across the Darlington Area. This role is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is interested in providing 1:1 tuition for children and someone who has a strong subject knowledge of the science curriculum.
This role would be ideal for an individual who is passionate about providing high quality support for children on either a 1:1 basis or in small groups. This role could either be in a mainstream setting or working outside of a school environment.

This role involves:
- Planning, creating and delivering engaging sessions for children who are currently not working at expected levels.
- Assessing pupils progress, providing constructive feedback that will enhance children’s learning.
- Using behaviour strategies to ensure children are focused and engaged within sessions.
- Being aware of children’s needs and interests.
Tutor Requirements:
- Experience of working with children/young people with SEND, SEMH and other additional needs.
- Professional Teaching Qualification are preferred (Qualified Teaching Status, QTS)
- An Enhanced Child Workforce only DBS on the update service, or willingness to purchase one via TP Tutors (support for obtaining one can be provided)
- References from your two most recent employers, totalling 24 months from a 10-year career history.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
