Science Teacher - Winchester - November 19

We are currently looking for a fully qualified teacher of Science to temporarily join an Outstanding school in Winchester on a part time basis teaching KS3-4 with planning and marking on Monday Tuesday and Wednesday. The role is to begin after half term in the first week of November and will be suitable for qualified teachers of Science or unqualified teachers with recent experience teaching the UK GCSE curriculum.

This position is a year contract with the school, with the chance of a permanent placement at the end of the academic year for a suitable candidate. This position is paid to scale utilising a day rate.

Last year the results were brilliant, with 86% of pupils achieving at least a level 5 in English, Maths and 3 other subjects. Within the Science department results have continued to be well above the national average, as well as the average in the Hampshire County. The Headteacher of this school is interested in recruiting a teacher who is willing to strive to achieve incredible results who is ambitious and enthusiastic and excited to influence students to reach their full potential.

The science department is well resourced with brilliant facilities, including IT resources within all classrooms and labs which allow the highest level of teaching to take place and makes every classroom adaptable. The school have four technicians on staff.
