Science teacher job (Corby)
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting on behalf of a secondary school in Corby who is seeking a teacher of science to join them after Easter. As one of the most successful comprehensive schools in the country, they focus on outstanding teaching, pastoral care and a creative curriculum that provides every student with the platform to succeed. With an 'outstanding' judgement from Ofsted in their most recent inspection, the school achieve excellent GCSE and A Level results as well as encouraging participation in musical and artistic extra curricular activities. The successful candidate will be part of an enthusiastic and dedicated science department with state of the art facilities including modern science laboratories and advanced equipment. Specialist teachers and well resourced department budgets have contributed to 81% of students achieving 9-4 (A*-C) in 2017/18. You will be teaching general science lessons to key stage 3 and 4 students on a full time basis, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 if you specialise in Physics, Chemistry or Biology. NQT's and unqualified teachers will be considered for this position.
We are looking for candidates who can:
- Prepare and deliver dynamic lessons which excite pupils and cater to a variety of learning styles and abilities
- Manage the classroom and behaviour effectively
- Monitor results and ensure that pupils progress
- Be passionate and enthusiastic about science with outstanding curriculum knowledge
