Science teacher (Northampton)

Are you looking to join a supportive and dedicated department as a next step in your career as a Science Teacher?

Due to an upcoming gap in the department from September 2019, our client school are looking to appoint a Science teacher who is passionate about raising the attainment of all students and supporting them to reach their full potential. This exciting opportunity is for the duration of the academic year on a fixed term contract, with the possibility to earn a permanent contract following the successful completion of the placement.

  • Full time Teacher of Science from September 2019
  • Fixed term contract Sept-July
  • Possibility of earning a permanent contract thereafter
  • Teaching all three sciences up to GCSE level
  • Pay in line with MPS and UPS (£23,720-£39,406)

"We are seeking to appoint an ambitious Teacher of Science from September 2019. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher who is passionate about Science. The post holder will be an integral part of a staffing team who are dedicated to delivering excellence and will teach across Key Stage 3 and 4, working with dedicated colleagues and motivated students that are determined to succeed. A strong behaviour policy and shared-resources enable our teachers to focus on delivering great outcomes for pupils. Support and an opportunity for rapid career progression will be provided for the right candidate. NQTs are welcome to apply." Principal.

The school is part of a multi academy trust which seeks to broaden the horizons of every pupil, allowing them to achieve their full potential both inside and outside of the classroom. Specialisms of Maths and Music are central to a personalised curriculum which encourages students to think outside the border of each subject. The pastoral system led by committed staff is the heart of support for each student and the school aim to help everyone studying and working at the academy to build good relationships.

As a Teacher of Science at our partner school in Northampton, the incoming candidate will be teaching all three disciplines of Science to both KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to teach within your specialism whilst teaching the GCSE specification. The department are passionate about collaborative planning techniques and sharing resources to ensure that teaching and learning is to the highest of standards.
