Are you currently looking for a new science teaching opportunity in the Southampton area?
We are currently looking for an experienced or newly qualified science teacher to work in a local Southampton school. The school have a well established science department and are looking to add a new member to their team who is able to strive students to excellence. The school are able to either take on board an experienced or newly qualified teacher so applications from teachers at any point of their career are encouraged.
The Southampton based school are apart of a wider network which provides the successful applicant fantastic teaching opportunities and a well established CPD program even for experienced teachers. The school look to promote from within and their extensive CPD program enables teachers to achieve middle management or SLT status within their teaching career. The role would involve teaching across KS3 and KS4 children specifically teaching across the GCSE science curriculum which involves, Physics, Biology and chemistry. The school would consider applicants which have a specialism within a certain science subject area however it would be an advantage if you could teach across all three sciences. .
The schools recent Ofsted's inspection rated the school Good with comments about the science department being "During lessons, pupils are regularly encouraged to contribute to class discussions". The school are continually thriving to excel and are on track to obtain an Ofsted Outstanding grade in the near future.
The successful applicant will:
- Hold a current QTS and a relevant subject related degree.
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for Science.
- It would be an advantage if the candidate could teach a secondary subject but not a necessity.
