Science Teacher
Stockport

Are you a qualified Science teacher seeking a new role in April 2019?
Are you able to deliver Chemistry, Biology and Physics up to Key Stage 4?

Teaching Personnel has a great opportunity for a talented and inspiring teacher of Science to join our partner school in Stockport, Manchester on a full-time basis from April 2019. The successful Science teacher will be passionate about their subject, committed to academic excellence and have the ability to motivate, support and enthuse students. They will join our partner school in April 2019 and will be required until the end of the academic year.

The school welcome applications from experienced Science teachers and Newly Qualified Teachers.

The successful applicant will:

  • Hold a PGCE in Secondary Science and will have experience of delivering KS3 and KS4 Science
  • Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge
  • Plan and teach well structured lessons
  • Promote good progress and outcomes by pupils
  • Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all pupils
  • Manage behaviour effectively to ensure a good and safe learning environment

Our partner school is located in Stockport just a short drive from the city centre. In 2009, the school was designated as a Media Arts Specialist School. As an Arts college, the school aims to raise standards of achievement and the quality of learning in all of their Media subjects, for all students, leading to whole school improvement in performance. The schools Catholic ethos ensures that all pupils are well supported throughout their learning journey and as a result, the schools exam results are significantly above the national average in both core subjects and the broader curriculum.
