Teaching Personnel are working with a Tameside based secondary school (graded "Good" by Ofsted) to support the recruitment of a Science teacher for a temporary 1 term post from September.
This school will be advertising to fill this post on a permanent basis from January 2019, therefore making it a progressive opportunity for those looking to secure an introduction to their next post.
The school is well respected in the borough of Tameside, due to consistently achieving excellent results, a well organised senior leadership team and pupils showing exemplary behaviour.
This is a full time Science teaching post with the school welcoming applications from Physics, Chemistry and Biology specialists. The incoming Science teacher will be expected to plan and mark your own work and ensure students are reaching their expected targets in line with their progress 8 scores. You will be joining a high performing Science department and will be provided with consistent support and shared resources. There are low levels of students who use English as an additional language and below average numbers eligible for free school meals.
Science teachers interested in this post will need to be available to interview prior to summer. Located in the SK14 post code of Tameside there is a train station 15 minutes away and direct bus routes for those on public transport. For those with their own transport, the school is accessible via the M67 or A roads from Stockport.
Applications are welcome from Newly Qualified teachers looking for a firs teaching post, experienced Science teachers coming to the end of a contract or those completing a long term supply post.
