Early Career Teacher (ECT) – Year 2 (Full Academic Year) – Bury

We are currently recruiting for an Early Career Teacher (ECT) to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Bury. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a Year 2 class within a two-form entry school, offering a collaborative teaching environment and strong peer support.

This is a full-time role for the entire academic year, making it ideal for an ECT looking to secure consistent experience and develop their teaching practice in a structured setting.

The role:

  • Full-time Year 2 class teacher
  • Working within a 2-form entry school, allowing for shared planning and support
  • Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Assess, monitor, and support pupil progress throughout the year

Requirements:

  • Qualified ECT (Early Career Teacher)
  • Strong experience teaching phonics – this is essential for the role
  • Confident in managing a classroom and creating a positive learning environment
  • Committed to supporting pupils’ academic and personal development
