Year 2 Teacher – Maternity Cover (Ramsbottom)

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Ramsbottom from September. This is a full-time maternity cover role expected to last for the full academic year.

The Role:

  • Teaching a Year 2 class
  • Planning, delivering, and assessing lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Following long-term curriculum overviews
  • Using White Rose Maths and Read Write Inc phonics (experience with these schemes is highly desirable)
  • Creating a positive and engaging learning environment for all pupils

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT) status
  • Strong phonics teaching experience is essential
  • Experience with White Rose Maths and Read Write Inc is advantageous
  • Ability to effectively plan, deliver, and assess learning
  • Commitment to supporting pupils’ progress and wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
