Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm

Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working with a warm, inclusive, and progressive primary school in Altrincham. The school is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join their team from May.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and well-structured lessons suited to Year 2 pupils
• Assess and track progress, offering clear feedback to support individual development
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity and confidence
• Work collaboratively with the KS1 team to enhance teaching practice and raise achievement
• Participate in CPD opportunities and contribute to the wider life of the school

Ideal Candidate

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to differentiate effectively to meet a range of learning needs
• Solid understanding of the KS1 curriculum and effective teaching strategies
• Confident in using technology to support and enrich learning
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills

Essential Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching Year 2 or KS1 (ECTs with relevant placements are welcome to apply)
• A genuine commitment to providing inclusive, high‑quality education
