This is the ideal opportunity for any Science teacher looking for a progressive role within a school that consistently achieve excellent results and where pupils are keen to learn and respect their teachers.

  • Science teacher post – April 2020 or earlier start
  • Opportunity to teach within an Ofsted graded good school with excellent leadership
  • Located on the outskirts of Bodmin
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS (GBP24,373 - GBP40,490)
  • School happy to consider applications from both newly qualified and experienced Science teachers

Applicant specification;

Due to the nature of this gap, the successful Science teacher will have the opportunity to start early as possible 

The Science department and leadership team are looking to recruit a Science teacher who can create a positive learning environment and influence pupil progression no matter what their ability. The incoming Science teacher will hold a timetable consisting of teaching KS3 and GCSE Science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) and the school are able to provide you with a tailored timetable to match your specialist Science area in order for you to have the most impact within this role.

A strong classroom presence and the ability to build strong relationships with pupils is an essential attribute the school are on the lookout for. You will have full access to first rate CPD and regular reviews to access and progress within this forward-thinking Science department.

The School;

This 11-16 secondary school have a large Science department made up of 8 other members of staff. Located on the outskirts of Liskeard, the school is easily accessible from the surrounding areas; Looe, Plymouth and Launceston. On site parking is available to all staff and the facilities in school are state of the art, building developments in 2016 have given classrooms a modern look with excellent resources. There are just over 950 pupils on roll in school with a lower than average number of pupils who speak English as an additional language.
