Science Teacher

Science Teacher needed on full time basis in Tameside secondary school.

Our partner school in Tameside have advised us they’re seeking to bring on a Science Teacher on a full time, temp-to-perm basis as soon as possible. The role will initially be temporary with the right candidate being offered a full school contract.

The role will involve teaching Science to classes in KS3 and KS4 in this well rated in the heart of the Tameside area. This opportunity is deal for candidates local to Ashton-under-Lyne, Stalybridge, Dukinfield, Mossley, Denton and the surrounding areas.

Candidate requirements for this position:

  • Qualified Teacher Status in the UK (QTS)
  • Experience teaching science up to GCSE level in UK secondary schools
  • Ability to carry out full departmental responsibilities
  • Child workforce DBS certificate on the update service/ eligibility to apply for one
  • School based references with no safeguarding or disciplinary concerns

The successful candidate will be given full departmental responsibilities including lesson planning and marking and will be expected to engage fully in staff meetings and with parents/ carers/ guardians. The school prides itself on providing a thorough and modern curriculum and believes in success for all abilities.
