Our client school is larger than most secondary schools of a similar nature, with over 1200 pupils currently on roll. The school recently underwent a renovation and expansion, and now houses excellent facilities that both students and staff are exceptionally proud of. The vast majority of students on roll are of white British heritage, there are a significant number of students from minority ethnic backgrounds who are supported well through comprehensive EAL support and are given the support to access the curriculum and alleviate pressure on teaching staff. The school meets the current floor standards, the minimum standards set by the government for students’ attainment and progress.

“We are looking to appoint a skilled Science teacher to join us for a two term maternity, though this may be extended depending on performance throughout the Science teachers time with us. Last year, we achieved our best ever results in Science and would like to incoming Science teacher to take departmental responsibility for planning and marking and ensure students are stretched to reach their potential”

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
