Full- time Teaching Assistant – EYFS (Reception Class)

Burnley based primary school | Full-Time | September 2026 Start

We are looking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistant to join our Reception team from September 2026.

This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 3:30pm, supporting children in our Reception class within a friendly and welcoming mainstream primary school in Burnley.

The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to support children's learning and development through engaging, play-based activities and high-quality interactions. We are looking for someone who can help create a nurturing environment where children feel safe, happy and ready to learn.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Enjoys working with young children and is passionate about early years education.
  • Has experience of working with children, ideally within an EYFS setting.
  • Can support children's learning, social development and wellbeing.
  • Is patient, positive and able to build strong relationships with children, staff and families.
  • Works well as part of a team and is willing to contribute to all aspects of school life.
  • Holds a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential for the right candidate).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
