Primary Tutor – Nottingham (NG1)
Location: Nottingham, NG1
Hours: Part-time | Weekdays | School Hours
Pay: Competitive hourly rate
Do you have a passion for helping primary-aged children reach their full potential?
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Primary Tutor to provide tailored one-to-one or small group tuition for pupils across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children in building confidence, improving attainment, and developing a love for learning.
What You'll Be Doing
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons tailored to each pupil's individual needs.
- Adapt teaching methods and resources to suit different learning styles and abilities.
- Support pupils in core subjects, including English, Maths and, where appropriate, Phonics.
- Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Build positive relationships that encourage confidence, motivation and academic success.
- Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and attendance.
What We're Looking For
- Experience teaching or tutoring primary-aged pupils.
- A recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE or equivalent) is desirable.
- Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
- A patient, nurturing and adaptable approach to teaching.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Right to work in the UK.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
