Science teacher (Northampton)

Teaching Personnel are currently working on behalf of a secondary school in central Northamptonshire who are seeking a teacher of Science to join them after Easter. The Head teacher of the catholic secondary school claims that students are at the heart of everything they do; whether it is creating exciting lessons which motivate the students, providing feedback to help them improve or striving for high standards to allow students to realise their full potential. Feedback from both staff and students is essential to establishing a collaborative relationship and ensuring that all learners are happy and successful. In the first year of the current Head teacher's leadership (2017/2018 academic year) the school has achieved its best ever exam results, with all students achieving an average of half a grade more in every qualification than the previous year. As a result of this, the school can now be considered one of the highest performing schools in Northampton.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be an enthusiastic teacher of Science with the ability to teach all KS3/KS4. NQT's are welcome to apply for this role.
  • Be committed to continuous improvement and driving up standards of attainment.
  • Be passionate about Mathematics with excellent subject knowledge and awareness of the current curriculum.
  • Have outstanding behaviour management skills
  • Work collaboratively with the department to promote the ethos and values of the school and ensure that the school continues to progress from strength to strength

In return for your hard work and dedication, Teaching Personnel can offer you a number of benefits while working with us. As the market leader for education recruitment, we can offer you:

  • Competitive rates of pay with the ability to earn up to £850 per week
  • Guidance and support from a sector specialist recruitment consultant
  • Access to our unique CPD academy with training courses to upskill yourself
  • The opportunity for a permanent placement
  • Refer a friend bonus schemes

All applicants must have a child only DBS on the current update service as well as the ability to provide two references. If you are interested in this opportunity please contact Megan on 01604 521222 or send a full copy of your CV
