Science Secondary Tutor  – Speke – November 2020

Teaching Personnel are the largest Teaching agency in the UK and are currently seeking to recruit Teachers, Tutors, Cover Supervisors and TAs for supply work in Liverpool Secondary Schools. Teaching Personnel work with a large number of Secondary Schools across the whole of the Merseyside area and are looking to recruit new Teaching Staff who are looking for a flexible working lifestyle.

Teaching Personnel are working on behalf of a large mixed Secondary school in the Speke area who are seeking a Science Tutor on a long term basis to support KS4 & KS5 students narrow the attainment gap. You’ll be required to work part time within the schools Science department. The timetable consists of A Level and GCSE Science teaching, previous experience is required for any interested applicants. You will not be required to take form group responsibilities but may on occasion be asked to cover lessons within the department. You will be required to collaborate with planning and tuition plans along with the department’s full support.

The role will start after the October half term 2020, on a part time basis and will run for the term initially possibly extending into the Spring term 2021. The successful Science Tutor will have excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum up to and including KS4 and will be able to plan innovative and engaging small group and 1-to-1 lessons that will meet the needs of the children with a variety of abilities.

The role:

-              KS4 & KS5 Science Tutor - part time position

-              Supportive department with excellent facilities

-              Large mixed Secondary School

-              Pay; GBP20-GBP30 per hour (2 hours minimum per day)

-              School situated in The Speke area

-              The school is easy accessible from via public transport.

- PGCE/QTS

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
