Job description

An exceptional specialist academy in Poole is seeking a passionate Science Teacher to join its warm, dedicated and forward-thinking team.

You will teach across primary and middle year groups, bringing science to life through engaging, hands-on learning.

 

The Role

As a Science Teacher, you will deliver creative, inspiring lessons that spark interest and deepen understanding.

You’ll work closely with a collaborative staff team who value positivity, adaptability and a child-centred approach.

  • Plan and deliver dynamic science lessons across varied age groups

  • Support the development of scientific understanding in young learners

  • Adapt teaching to meet individual learning needs

  • Encourage curiosity, resilience and progress

  • Contribute to a welcoming, team-driven school environment

 

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential

  • Minimum 6 months of childcare experience, ideally in an educational or care setting

  • Ability to work full-time, 8.45am to 4.15pm

  • Strong communication and classroom management skills

  • A genuine passion for helping young learners thrive

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
