English Teacher (QTS) – Full-Time, Immediate Start

Do you have a passion for English and a talent for inspiring young minds? We are seeking a dedicated English Teacher with QTS to join a vibrant and inclusive school in Poole. This is a full-time position with an immediate start, teaching pupils aged 2–19 years across both primary and secondary phases. If you are enthusiastic about language, literature, and communication, this role offers an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact.


About the Role

  • Position: English Teacher (QTS required)
  • Location: Poole
  • Hours: 8.30am – 5.00pm, Monday to Friday
  • Contract: Full-time, long-term with potential for permanent opportunities
  • Start Date: Immediate

As an English Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons that develop reading, writing, and speaking skills. You will encourage creativity and critical thinking, helping students to express themselves confidently and achieve academic success. This role requires adaptability and a commitment to supporting learners of varying abilities in a positive and structured environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality English lessons tailored to different age groups and abilities.
  • Inspire a love of literature and language through creative teaching strategies.
  • Support pupils in developing strong communication and comprehension skills.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to create an inclusive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback to help students reach their full potential.

What We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Minimum of 6 months’ experience in childcare or education, ideally supporting children with additional needs.
  • Strong classroom management and excellent communication skills.
  • A proactive, adaptable approach and a genuine passion for teaching English.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
