Job description

A remarkable specialist academy in Poole is looking for an enthusiastic and committed English Teacher to join its warm, supportive and forward-thinking team.

The school is well known for its personalised approach, positive ethos and dedication to ensuring every child feels valued and capable of achieving success. You will be teaching across primary and middle years, delivering engaging English lessons that inspire confidence and curiosity.

You will create inclusive and stimulating English lessons, supporting a wide range of learning needs and abilities. The school offers a collaborative environment where creativity, resilience and a nurturing approach are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons

  • Support literacy development across multiple age groups

  • Adapt teaching to individual learning needs

  • Promote confidence, enthusiasm and progress in all pupils

  • Contribute to a positive, team-focused school culture


Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential

  • Minimum 6 months of childcare experience, ideally within an educational or care setting

  • Ability to work full-time, 8.45am to 4.15pm

  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills

  • A genuine passion for supporting young learners

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
