Job description

Location: Tidworth, Wiltshire

School: A well-respected mainstream secondary school in Tidworth is seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join their team starting September 2024. This is a full-time, permanent position offering an exciting opportunity to inspire and educate students at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 levels.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in Science to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students and ensure all learners make progress.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
  • Assess student progress regularly and provide timely feedback to support their development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the ongoing improvement of the Science curriculum.
  • Engage students in practical experiments and hands-on activities to enhance their understanding of scientific concepts.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Relevant degree in Science or a related field.
  • Experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and/or Key Stage 4 level.
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Science education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and promoting student achievement.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
