Science Teacher
Location: Hereford
Salary: paid to teaching scale.
Start Date: 1st September 2024
Hours: 8.30am – 3.30pm
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Science Teacher to join our team at a secondary school in Hereford. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Science to children between the ages of 11-18.
The school has a strong focus on pastoral care and providing support to students. The staff at the Hereford Academy work closely with parents and carers to ensure that every student is given the best possible chance to succeed. The school is well-regarded secondary school that is committed to providing its students with a high-quality education and preparing them for their future careers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality Science lessons to students.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to both students and parents.
- Create a safe and engaging learning environment for all students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop schemes of work, assessment materials, and teaching resources.
- Contribute to the wider school community through involvement in extracurricular activities and events.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) are encouraged to apply.
- Enhanced child’s DBS and update service.
- Up to date safeguarding (provided by Teaching Personnel).
- 2 references from your most recent employers.
- Proof of right to work in the UK.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
