Job Title: Science Teacher

Location: East Riding of Yorkshire

Start Date: September 2021

Daily Rate: GBP100 - GBP213

  • Are you a Fully Qualified Science Teacher?
  • Do you have experience teaching the secondary science national curriculum?
  • Are you available full time?

If so, Teaching Personnel may have the perfect role for you. We are currently recruiting science teachers to work within secondary schools in the East Riding area. We are looking for science teachers who have experience working within secondary schools and are seeking temporary work. As a science teacher you will be required to teach your subject specialism across KS3 – KS4 classes and therefore must have experience teaching up to GCSE standard.

Your roles and responsibilities would include:

  1. Preparing and delivering lessons to a range of classes of different ages and abilities
  2. Marking work. Giving appropriate feedback and maintaining records of pupil’s progress and development
  3. Selecting and using a range of different learning resources and equipment
  4. Preparing pupils for qualifications and external examinations
  5. Managing pupil behaviour in the classroom and on school premises, and applying appropriate and effective measures in case of mis-behaviour
  6. Undergoing regular observations and participating in regular in-service training (INSET) as part of continuing professional development (CPD)

Working as a FQT you will therefore have to have:

  • PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
  • QTS Status
  • Experience working within an educational based setting
  • Ability to provide at least two references from schools you have worked in
  • An Enhanced Child Only  DBS registered with the Update Service (can be completed through Teaching Personnel)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
