Teaching Personnel Dorset is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Science Teacher for a full-time role starting in September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing secondary school located in the Ferndown area. About the Role:

Position: Science Teacher (Full-time preferred, part-time considered for the right candidate)
Location: Ferndown – easily accessible from Wimborne, Bournemouth, Poole and surrounding areas
Contract Type: Full-Time
Salary: MPS – ECTs and experienced teachers welcome to apply

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Deliver engaging and inclusive Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 desirable).

  • Contribute to the development of a vibrant and forward-thinking Science department.

  • Plan, prepare and assess lessons that challenge and motivate students of all abilities.

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to support school-wide initiatives.

  • Engage with ongoing CPD opportunities and contribute to the wider school community.

Who We're Looking For:

✔ A qualified teacher with QTS (or pending for ECTs completing training in summer 2025)
✔ Excellent subject knowledge in Science and a passion for delivering high-quality lessons
✔ Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to inclusive education
✔ Someone who is proactive, reflective, and dedicated to continuous improvement
