Science Teacher - September 2025 Start (or Sooner)

Are you a qualified Science Teacher ready to spark curiosity and foster a love for learning?

A forward-thinking secondary school in the Christchurch area is seeking a dedicated and engaging educator to join their team in September 2025.

This is a full-time role with the possibility of an earlier start, working with students aged 11 to 16.

Key Responsibilities:

This position involves teaching General Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to specialise in your preferred discipline where appropriate. You'll be delivering engaging lessons to mixed-ability groups, helping to raise attainment and confidence in Science.

  • Deliver dynamic and inclusive Science lessons across KS3 & KS4

  • Plan and assess in line with the national curriculum and student needs

  • Support students' academic progress and classroom engagement

  • Maintain a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity

  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and develop schemes of work


 

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • QTS and relevant secondary teaching experience in Science

  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills

  • A commitment to inclusive and student-centred teaching

  • Enthusiasm for promoting STEM and scientific enquiry

  • The ability to inspire students of all abilities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
