Are you an enthusiastic and driven Science Teacher ready to spark excitement and discovery in the classroom? Teaching Personnel is proud to partner with a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in Poole, seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join their team from September 2025.

The Role

Deliver a high-quality science curriculum to students across KS3–KS5

Encourage critical thinking, experimentation, and scientific enquiry

Adapt teaching to suit varied learning styles and abilities

Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment

Monitor progress and provide meaningful feedback to support student achievement

Position: Teacher of Science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics)

Start Date: September 2025

Contract Type: Temp-to-perm

Duration: Full academic year, with potential for permanent placement

Working Hours: 8:20am – 4:00pm (subject to school schedule)

Pay Rate: Competitive
Candidate Requirements
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised in the UK
-
A degree in a science-related subject
-
Experience teaching science in UK secondary schools
-
Up-to-date Safeguarding training (we can provide this if required)
-
Strong communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills
To be eligible through Teaching Personnel, you must:

Have the right to work in the UK
-
Hold or be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS on the Update Service

Provide two recent, child-related references from the past two years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
