Science Teacher – Poole – September 2025 Start

Are you an enthusiastic and driven Science Teacher ready to spark excitement and discovery in the classroom? Teaching Personnel is proud to partner with a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in Poole, seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to join their team from September 2025.

This is a fantastic opportunity to teach Key Stages 3–5, helping students explore biology, chemistry, and/or physics through engaging and innovative lessons. Whether you’re early in your career or looking for your next long-term role, we want to hear from you!


The Role

  • Deliver a high-quality science curriculum to students across KS3–KS5

  • Encourage critical thinking, experimentation, and scientific enquiry

  • Adapt teaching to suit varied learning styles and abilities

  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment

  • Monitor progress and provide meaningful feedback to support student achievement


Contract Details

  • Location: Poole, Dorset

  • Position: Teacher of Science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics)

  • Start Date: September 2025

  • Contract Type: Temp-to-perm

  • Duration: Full academic year, with potential for permanent placement

  • Working Hours: 8:20am – 4:00pm (subject to school schedule)

  • Pay Rate: Competitive


Candidate Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised in the UK

  • A degree in a science-related subject

  • Experience teaching science in UK secondary schools

  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training (we can provide this if required)

  • Strong communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills


To be eligible through Teaching Personnel, you must:

  • Have the right to work in the UK

  • Hold or be willing to apply for an enhanced DBS on the Update Service

  • Provide two recent, child-related references from the past two years

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
