Science Teacher – Full Time – January 2026 Start
Location: Christchurch, Dorset

A thriving mainstream secondary school is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis from January 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to inspire the next generation of scientists and contribute to a dynamic and forward-thinking department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and well-structured lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of learning in every student. The school has a well-resourced Science department, supportive leadership, and a strong commitment to professional development, making it an ideal environment for both experienced teachers and ambitious ECTs looking to grow their careers.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or be working towards it

  • Have a strong subject knowledge across the sciences (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics)

  • Be able to deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons that cater to a range of abilities

  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and a positive, engaging approach to teaching

  • Be committed to contributing to the wider life of the school, including enrichment and extracurricular activities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
