*Full-time Science teacher required from January 2020*

Teaching Personnel are working alongside a secondary school in Bury, aiding them with the recruitment of a Science teacher. Our client school is located close by to Bury town centre and is easily accessible from surrounding areas such as Bolton, Whitefield and Prestwich via the M62 and A57. Our client school can also be accessed via public transport from the surrounding areas of Greater Manchester.

Our client school has been recently refurbished with modern laboratories and smartboards in all classrooms. Alongside this, our client school has excellent outdoor facilities.

Our partner school are looking for a dynamic and passionate Science teacher to start in January 2020. The successful candidate will be expected to plan, prepare and deliver Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4 and teach a full timetable to students aged 11-16. The successful candidate will also be expected to take on full planning and marking responsibilities of both class and home work.

  • Full-time Science teacher role.
  • Must be available to start from January 2020.
  • Full planning and marking responsibilities alongside teaching a full timetable.
  • Must have experience teaching all three Sciences up to GCSE level.
  • Opportunity to work in a recently refurbished secondary school in Bury.

Further roles and responsibilities

  • Teaching pupils at varying levels of learning ability including those with minor learning difficulties.
  • Working alongside senior members of staff and the Head of Science to ensure all pupils are supported correctly.
  • Monitoring and evaluating pupils’ progress and taking appropriate action where required.
  • Setting relevant homework tasks and marking these in line with the school curriculum.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
