Large Bury based Secondary school wish to appoint a full time Science Teacher from September 2019 on a permanent basis.

The incoming Science teacher will be required to teach all areas of Science - Biology, Chemistry and Physics to KS3 and GCSE level.

  • Full time Science Teacher required from September 2019 or earlier.
  • Permanent post with excellent progression opportunities
  • Applications are welcome from both experienced and Newly Qualified Science Teachers.
  • Must hold QTS to be considered alongside experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4.
  • Opportunity to work within an Ofsted graded 'Good' Secondary school.
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS £23,720 - £39,406.

As the incoming Science Teacher you will be required to work independently and in collaboration as part of a team within the department and greater school, alongside supporting the development of the Science curriculum. This will also involve planning, preparing and teaching to assess and secure excellent outcomes for all pupils in Science. You will also be required to demonstrate a continued commitment to raising attainment amongst all pupils across school equally.

The school has just over 1000 pupils on roll, aged 11-16, and can easily be accessed via the M60 and the surrounding areas; Bolton, Rochdale, Salford and Preston. There are also a range of public transport options for those who do not drive, with links throughout Greater Manchester.
